Bethlehem Baptisten Gemeinde
Isernhagen NB
Germany

For most of the time we lived in Germany, we worshipped at the Baptist fellowship in Isernhagen. This fellowship is part of a very active group of churches centred on the Waldersee Strasse church in Hanover. In our early days in Germany, Liz and Philip made many good friends through an afternoon group for parents and young children. This group helped us all to find our feet in Germany and to get to know our way around Hanover - even giving advice on very practical questions such as where to buy shoes for Philip as he began to walk!
It was as we became more at home, that we discovered the Isernhagen Fellowship. At first, we used to meet on the upper floor of a converted farm building - the Scheune or cowshed - but when the lease expired, the fellowship took the step of faith of acquiring a new home. We were privileged to be part of the move to the new building and continue to feel that part of us belongs there.
